Jan-Willem de Fockert asked me to articulate our experiences with WeDu.
The relationship with Jan-Willem goes back about 10 years. 3 years ago we were in contact to optimize our compressor installation.
After years of running the installation with virtually no problems, the attention for the compressed air system waned. After contacting Jan-Willem, Frits and Patrick, we started looking together at the operation of the system and looked for opportunities to achieve savings.
We ourselves had already placed some valves in the air network, so that only the section that was in operation was supplied with compressed air.
These minor adjustments eliminate potential leaks.
We also explored options for saving energy in a smart way with the available compressors. This yielded great results.
Now we are in the process with WeDu to replace the dryers. WeDu helps us ask the right questions towards the suppliers. We also discuss together the options offered by suppliers.
WeDu used to work only for the Wanssum production site of Cementbouw/VVM, now they are also active for the production sites in Antwerp and Rieme.
We have been working with Wedu for several years now in a pleasant casual manner and hope that this cooperation will continue for years to come.

You have looked beyond just the needed replacement of the failed compressor in preparing this Spec.
As a result, we are moving as a company to a better plan of two smaller compressors, improving the reliability of the plant and achieving a reduction in energy with this.

Wedu performed measurements for us over a three-week period.
For this purpose, several measuring cases were placed in the compressor room, at the decentralized buffer tank and at several critical points in the pipeline network.
The measurement results and findings are conveniently recorded in a clear report.
This study showed that replacing one or more compressors is not necessary to solve the control gap.
By adjusting the control sequence of the compressors, only a new control box is required.
This solution resulted in significant cost savings over compressor replacement.
